  14. ]GEM has with topping windows is something we should be getting away from,

  17. This 'infatuation' is part of the GEM philosophy and it works well.  As I 
  18. said before, we are not here to rewrite the OS.  Making extentions is 
  19. fine, but requiring them is counterproductive.  If we didn't top windows, 
  20. it wouldn't be GEM.
